This utlity hunter features a burnished Elk Antler which is sinew wrapped at the blade. The 1/16 flat stock CPM 154 blade (59-60 RC) is acid etched to give the blade an antique patina. The advantage of a thin flat blade is that it is light to carry and can be sharpened repeatedly without getting into thicker steel. Randy added a brass thong hole through which he put a leather strap lanyard. He also built an intregal guard into the blade and etched a "bear paw" on the backside. for a nice touch. The elk antler is mortised so the handle diameter is not too large and a mosaic pin is incorporated into the butt end of the handle. A simulated brown leather Kydex sheath with adjustable belt loop is included.
